Use of AI in the Research Process
Artificial intelligence, including large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Llama, or Gemini, can be responsibly used as a supportive tool in the process of writing a scientific article. It can be used for data collection and analysis, proofreading of the text, improving the style and readability of the manuscript, searching for relevant literature, and generating tables and references. The use of artificial intelligence as a tool for data collection and analysis should be documented in the Research Methodology section. Artificial intelligence must not replace the author’s intellectual contribution in the research process; it cannot be used to generate the text, descriptions of obtained results, conclusions, or recommendations. Furthermore, it is not permitted to use artificial intelligence to generate illustrations or animations. Corrections to such materials obtained legitimately (e.g., contrast, brightness, color balance) are acceptable, provided they do not affect the interpretation of the information present in the original version.
